Level 3 Animal Licensing Inspector Certificate (RQF)
The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 sets out the duties of local authorities in England to license activities involving animals and the relevant establishments relating to this. This includes the selling of animals as pets, the provision of boarding for cats and dogs and animal breeding. As a licensed inspector, your role will be to ensure that businesses and licensed individuals are adhering to the legislation and taking appropriate steps if not. This level 3 award will give you the knowledge you needed to carry out the role of an animal licensing inspector safely and within the legal requirements of the legislation. The course will cover the legislation itself and the different roles and responsibilities the legislation makes provision for. You will also learn how to assess animal welfare and know what steps or remedial action should be taken to ensure the welfare of the animal or animals.
